WHITNEY KELLEY

Whitney Kelley has over 23 years of experience as a police officer. She began her law enforcement career at the 

Kansas City Missouri Police Department where she worked for over three years until she moved to Florida. 

     Whitney joined the Tampa Police Department in 2005. She spent time as a patrol officer and as a plain clothes officer addressing street level narcotics and community concerns. The majority of her career, however, was devoted to the Field Training & Evaluation Program as a Field Training Officer and to training new hires and existing officers at the Training Academy.   

     Whitney recently retired, but continues to serve as a police officer with the Tampa Police Department Reserve Force and assists in training at the academy. 

     Whitney holds a Bachelor of Science in Justice Systems from Truman State University and multiple Instructor certifications.
