Martha Murillo

Lieutenant Martha Murillo is newly retired but began her career with Tampa Police Department in 2001. She began her career as a patrol, worked as a plain clothes officer on the Street Anti-Crime Unit (SAC), a Field Training Officer, and as a trainer in the Training Unit.

She was promoted to Corporal and was assigned to District 2 patrol. Martha transferred to the Internal Affairs Department as a detective.  She was promoted to Sergeant and worked District One as the SOHO bar area supervisor and as the District One Field Training (FTEP) Sergeant for five years.  Martha was promoted to Lieutenant and worked as a shift commander in District One, Two and Three.  She was also the District 2 and District 3 Field Training Program Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Murillo has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. She is also fluent in Spanish.
